About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within a heavy civil construction environment. You will work alongside a crew, project, or plant team to support the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects. Each assignment lasts between 3 and 6 months and includes on-the-job training, a buddy assignment, and classroom sessions to build professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with subcontractors.
- Manage project schedules and work plans.
- Handle contract management and change orders.
- Prepare daily reports and order materials.
- Gain exposure to project plans and construction operations.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mining & Materials Engineering, Business Management, or a related engineering field.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A collaborative attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to changing project needs.
