About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in heavy civil construction. You will work with a crew, project, or plant team on active construction sites. Assignments typically last between 3 and 6 months and include on-the-job training, buddy mentorship, and professional development sessions.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of heavy civil construction projects
- Coordinate with subcontractors
- Manage project schedules and contract requirements
- Prepare work plans and daily reports
- Order materials and manage change orders
- Gain exposure to project plans and site operations
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mining and Materials Engineering, Business Management, or a related engineering field
- Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain a collaborative attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
