About the role#
The Turnaround & Restructuring MBA Summer Internship offers hands-on exposure to high-stakes consulting. You will work alongside experienced teams to provide financial, operational, and strategic advice to companies that are underperforming, highly leveraged, distressed, or transforming. This role is a temporary position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze corporate performance, business models, cost-reduction opportunities, and profitability improvement initiatives.
- Research industry trends and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to identify root causes of business challenges.
- Build and support financial, operational, and analytical models, including liquidity, working capital, and three-statement models.
- Develop recommendations for new methods, systems, or organizational changes and prepare client-ready presentation materials.
- Gather data through research, analysis, and client interviews.
- Apply finance, accounting, and statistical concepts to frame analyses and test hypotheses.
- Use research, data tools, and AI-enabled tools to support analysis while applying human judgment.
- Provide direction to analysts and work collaboratively with project teams and client stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MBA degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong financial analysis skills and demonstrated experience performing quantitative work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Ability to travel up to 100% Monday through Friday.
- Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Preferred: Professional financial credentials like CPA, CFA, or CMA; experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Python, or R; and experience with AI-enabled tools.
