About the role#
As a Whey Ingredients Technical Services Intern, you will work with the Technical Services Manager and the Operations team. You will research and manage projects that support whey ingredient innovation and manufacturing. This position is based on-site and offers hands-on experience in a dairy manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Support dairy protein and whey ingredient research through laboratory experiments, pilot testing, and plant trials.
- Design, execute, analyze, and document research projects.
- Communicate project results to technical and operations teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Maintenance, Automation, and Plant Leadership, to meet project objectives.
- Develop your knowledge of dairy manufacturing, industry regulations, and business operations.
- Present project updates throughout the internship and deliver a final summary of results, recommendations, and lessons learned to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Dairy Science, Agricultural Science, Food Science, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities.
- Interest in innovation, manufacturing, continuous improvement, and leadership development.
