Therapist Intern

About the role#

As a Therapist Intern at Pacific Grove, you will perform supervised individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, and outreach. This role requires a commitment to patient safety and a professional, empathetic approach to care.

What you'll do#

• Assist clinicians in developing and implementing measurable, attainable treatment plans based on clinical assessments and interviews.
• Review patient progress and setbacks, providing recommendations to support successful transitions.
• Complete clinical documentation under the guidance of a licensed clinician.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and work to resolve patient complaints.
• Advanced students may have the opportunity to conduct assessments, perform crisis interventions, and facilitate patient groups.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Master’s Degree program in Social Work or a related counseling field.
• Eligibility for supervision leading to LCSW, LPC, or LCPC licensure.
• Valid CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire).
• Required state-specific licensure or certification for counseling.
