About the role#
This is an unpaid, full-time Therapist Intern position based in Riverside, California. You will work on-site to assist clinicians with patient care, treatment planning, and clinical documentation. This role is open on a rolling basis for students pursuing degrees in Psychology, Health Administration, or Public Health.
What you'll do#
- Help clinicians create and carry out treatment plans based on patient assessments and interviews.
- Review patient progress and suggest adjustments to support their recovery.
- Manage clinical documentation while working under the guidance of a licensed clinician.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic attitude, prioritizing patient safety at all times.
- Advanced students may conduct assessments, perform crisis interventions, and lead patient groups.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Master’s program for Social Work or a related counseling field.
- Eligibility for supervision leading to LCSW, LPC, or LCPC licensure.
- Valid CPR and de-escalation/restraint certifications (training is available upon hire).
- Any state-required counseling licensure or certification.
