About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship offers practical experience within the ABB Electrification team in Houston. You will work alongside sales, marketing, and operations professionals to support industrial, OEM, and construction markets across the Gulf Coast region. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the District Sales Manager.
What you'll do#
- Study market trends and prospect large capital project opportunities.
- Support outside sales account managers by preparing equipment proposals and performing technical and commercial reviews.
- Evaluate project pricing and profitability while assisting with customer bid negotiations.
- Use Salesforce to track opportunity pipelines and assist finance and operational leaders with forecasting.
- Develop technical proposals and equipment layout drawings using product configurator software.
- Provide technical and logistical support to customers and channel partners.
- Collaborate across business lines to leverage the full ABB product portfolio.
- Participate in team meetings and seek feedback from your manager to improve your performance.
- Uphold ABB core values of safety and integrity in all daily operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering in the United States.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Ability to use critical thinking to analyze complex situations and develop solutions.
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high quality standards.
- Strong collaborative skills to share information and provide project updates.

- Compensation: This position pays between $20 and $34 per hour, depending on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
