About the role#
As a Data Architecture & Engineering Intern, you will support client engagements and help deliver analytics. You will work alongside our consultants to solve business challenges and contribute to project goals. This role involves both client-facing work and internal R&D projects.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with consultants to support client engagements and analytics delivery.
- Use Snowflake and its native Cortex AI capabilities.
- Manage pipeline orchestration using Apache Airflow.
- Work with various AWS services.
- Participate in R&D projects applying Snowflake Cortex AI and other emerging tools to healthcare claims data.
- Analyze, synthesize, and interpret complex data sets to produce analytical outputs.
- Use DevOps practices to develop and maintain version-controlled data engineering solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student entering your third year of a 4-year degree or fourth year of a 5-year program.
- Degree or major in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, with a preference for 3.3 or higher.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SQL, and Python.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in groups.
- Strong interest in data architecture or engineering and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Preferred: Relevant work experience, exposure to LLMs or prompt engineering, and active involvement in university clubs.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based in our Chicago, Illinois office.
- You must be able to work on-site daily from June 7 through August 13, 2027.
