The Warranty College Co-op will support warranty initiatives by analyzing data and investigating field-returned components. This position offers hands-on experience with customer warranty systems, product evaluations, and cross-functional problem-solving within the automotive industry.
What you'll do#
- Analyze customer warranty data to identify trends, track returned components, and monitor metrics such as claim volume, labor codes, and cost impacts.
- Investigate product issues by evaluating warranty claims and identifying potential causes of field failures.
- Conduct hands-on evaluations of field-returned components, including product teardowns and failure analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Gear Lab Engineering, and Quality.
- Document root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate warranty trends, investigation results, and product performance data to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work 25 hours per week on a year-round basis.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the automotive industry.
- Technical or industrial knowledge and experience is preferred.
