About the role#
The SOMA Student Achievement department is seeking a Work Study student to assist with daily administrative and event-related tasks. This role supports the department by maintaining office operations and facilitating student engagement initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Greet students arriving at the office.
- Review and edit documents for accuracy.
- Prepare materials for meetings and events.
- Schedule student success sessions.
- Serve as a host at professional development events.
- Identify and curate content for social media posts in coordination with Marketing and Communications.
- Perform general administrative tasks including making copies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant major such as Communications, Marketing, or Psychology.
- Proficiency in social media platforms.
- Strong grammar, composition, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to FERPA regulations.
- A disciplined, friendly, and self-starting approach to work.
- Reliability, punctuality, and professional interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow detailed directions.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 25 pounds. Required to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
