About the role#
The SOMA Student Achievement department is seeking a Work Study student to assist with daily office operations and student support initiatives. This role is ideal for students in Communications, Marketing, or Psychology who are looking to gain professional experience in a higher education setting.
What you'll do#
- Greet students and visitors in the office area.
- Review and edit various departmental documents.
- Schedule student success sessions and prepare materials for meetings and events.
- Serve as a host during professional development events.
- Identify and curate content for social media posting in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications teams.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as making copies.
What you'll need#
- Friendly, disciplined, and self-starting attitude.
- High level of social media savvy.
- Strong grammar, composition, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and complete FERPA training upon hire.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to follow directions and pay close attention to detail.

- Location: Mesa, Arizona (On-site).
- Schedule: Variable hours, Monday through Friday.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 25 pounds.
