About the role#
829 Studios is hiring a Public Relations & Influencer Marketing Intern to join our team in Boston. This role provides hands-on agency experience across a diverse client portfolio. You will work alongside PR specialists and strategists to execute media and influencer strategies, draft content, and support the pursuit of press coverage. This is a paid, on-site internship for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Research and build media lists and editorial calendars using industry tools.
- Identify and vet influencer targets on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Draft and edit pitches, press releases, and media alerts for various client voices.
- Monitor industry news and client coverage daily.
- Compile reporting and competitor analysis.
- Support the PR team in identifying news hooks and reaching out to media outlets.
- Research industry awards and speaking opportunities for clients.
- Manage deadlines for award submissions and maintain project documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Communications, Public Health, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with attention to detail and AP style.
- Ability to synthesize information and identify media trends.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Slack.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.
