Public Relations & Influencer Marketing Intern

About the role#

829 Studios is seeking a PR Intern to gain hands-on agency experience across a diverse client portfolio. You will work alongside PR Specialists and Strategists to support media and influencer strategies, draft content, and assist in securing press coverage. This role provides an opportunity to develop foundational skills in integrated digital marketing.

What you'll do#

• Assist in researching and building comprehensive media lists and editorial calendars using industry tools.
• Conduct research to identify and vet influencer targets across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Draft and edit initial versions of pitches, press releases, and media alerts tailored to specific client voices.
• Conduct daily monitoring of industry news and client coverage, and assist in compiling reporting and competitor analysis.
• Support the PR team in identifying trending news hooks and reaching out to media outlets.
• Research industry awards and speaking opportunities for clients, and manage deadlines for award submissions.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities with a sharp eye for detail and AP style.
• Ability to quickly synthesize information and identify relevant media trends.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Slack.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
