Profitability Intern

About the role#

This is a structured summer rotational internship designed to provide hands-on experience across the bank’s Profitability, Finance, Accounting, and Secondary Marketing teams. Under the direction of the Profitability Incentive Manager, you will rotate through functional areas to support core initiatives and contribute to projects that impact bank-wide performance. The program provides exposure to enterprise-level profitability measurement, cash flow and liquidity management, and incentive compensation design.

What you'll do#

• Perform regular data entry, importing, report building, and distribution.
• Create base models for financial reporting and budgeting.
• Execute financial forecasting, including pro forma modeling for new business opportunities.
• Develop key metrics for bank teams, requiring direct interaction with Cost Center Managers.
• Assist in creating tools to identify revenue opportunities and manage expenses.
• Develop segment-specific profitability metrics for management.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a 4-year institution with junior standing or higher.
• Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and database skills related to financial management systems.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on high-quality financial presentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to quickly learn new business segments and solve problems within set parameters.
