About the role#
As a summer intern, you will join a 12-16 week program in our Santa Monica office. You will work on a combination of team sprint tasks and a specific project. This role focuses on building high-performance code, considering technical trade-offs, and iterating on solutions. You will have the opportunity to specialize in Big Data, Full Stack, or Machine Learning to help prepare for a full-time career.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the full life cycle of user-facing applications, from design and implementation to testing and production.
- Write, test, instrument, and deploy code with strong test coverage.
- Use modern abstractions and frameworks within our Kubernetes environment.
- Develop a clear understanding of our business, industry, and internal systems.
- Contribute to the innovation and evolution of our product.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time Computer Science degree program or a related technical field.
- An expected graduation date between December 2027 and November 2028.
- A foundation in software engineering through previous internships or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluency in at least one general purpose programming language, such as Python or Java.
- An interest in specializing in Big Data, Full Stack, or Machine Learning.
- Ability to work in-person at our Santa Monica office for the summer.
- Preferred skills include fluency in multiple languages, experience with relational and non-relational databases, and exposure to client-side frameworks like React.
