About the role#
This is a paid internship for students pursuing a Master's degree in a social services discipline. The program provides hands-on experience in community-based mental health work. You will work with a team to support children and families while gaining professional clinical experience.
What you'll do#
- Shadow counselors during home and community-based family sessions.
- Carry a reduced caseload and implement specific interventions.
- Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Attend three weekly meetings focused on individual, team, and clinical consultation.
- Access clinical training opportunities to build your skills.
- Complete accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Provide transportation to various locations as necessary.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Master's degree program for Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a related social services field.
- A current, valid driver's license.
- Access to a reliable automobile for work purposes.
- Proof of auto insurance.

- Schedule: This is a part-time role with a flexible, non-traditional schedule based on the availability of the families served.
