About the role#
Youth Villages is offering a paid internship for Master's level students interested in mental and behavioral health. This role provides hands-on experience in home- and community-based settings. You will work directly with families while gaining clinical skills through supervision and professional development.
What you'll do#
- Shadow counselors during family sessions in the community.
- Carry a reduced caseload and implement specific interventions.
- Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Attend three weekly meetings focused on individual, team, and clinical consultation.
- Access clinical training opportunities to build your professional skills.
- Complete documentation in an electronic medical record system.
- Provide transportation to various locations as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in a social services discipline, such as Psychology, Criminal Justice, or Human Resources.
- A valid driver's license.
- A personal vehicle for work use.
- Proof of auto insurance.
