Campus Fellows serve as frontline organizers at universities in Wisconsin, driving civic engagement efforts to empower young voters. This role focuses on building a visible presence on campus, facilitating direct voter contact, and fostering democratic participation among students. Fellows work 10 to 15 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Engage students to promote civic engagement through canvassing, class presentations, club outreach, and tabling.
- Facilitate conversations on key issues such as climate change, education, and jobs to connect elections to students' lives.
- Register students to vote and provide essential voting resources.
- Manage campus social media accounts on platforms like Instagram and TikTok to elevate civic content.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including registering the organization on campus, coordinating event logistics, and managing data entry for voter registrations.
- Collaborate with campus networks, including student organizations, clubs, and faculty, to host events and registration drives.
What you'll need#
- Passion for civic engagement and inspiring young people to get involved.
- Comfort approaching strangers and initiating conversations with a wide range of students.
- Ability to ideate and innovate to find effective ways to reach the student body.
- Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Enrollment at a focus university in Wisconsin.
- Majors such as Political Science, Communications, Sociology, Psychology, or Public Health are relevant, though all interested students are encouraged to apply.

- Compensation: Paid at an hourly rate of $17.
