About the role#
Campus Fellows serve as the frontline organizers for Badger Youth Action in Wisconsin. You will drive on-the-ground civic engagement efforts to empower young people to vote and participate in issues they care about. This part-time role requires between 10 and 15 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Engage students to promote civic engagement through tabling, class presentations, and club outreach.
- Facilitate conversations on key issues like climate change, education, and jobs.
- Register students to vote and provide them with essential voting resources.
- Manage campus social media accounts on Instagram and TikTok.
- Handle event logistics, such as booking spaces and attending student organization meetings.
- Ensure voter registration forms are completed accurately and supported with data entry.
What you'll need#
- Comfort approaching strangers and a desire to talk to as many students as possible.
- A passion for civic engagement and inspiring peers to get involved.
- Excitement to ideate and innovate regarding how to reach students.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Enrollment at a focus university in Wisconsin.
- Majors in Political Science, Communications, Sociology, Psychology, or Public Health are relevant, though all are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Campus, Wisconsin.
- The role is part-time and paid at an hourly rate of $17.
- This is a summer 2026 opportunity.
