About the role#
The Drums and Percussion Department supports musicians ranging from students to professionals. You will help market and distribute acoustic and electronic drum sets, marching drums, and hardware to the U.S. market. This is a paid, full-time internship based in our Buena Park office on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Answer questions from dealers, consumers, District Sales Managers, and internal staff.
- Analyze competitive markets and create product and price comparisons.
- Assist in producing marketing materials, including website content, print ads, social media, flyers, and press releases.
- Coordinate support materials for industry trade shows, clinics, and artist performances.
- Complete a final project focused on researching and solving a real-world business concern.
- Attend industry events as required.
What you'll need#
- You are a sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited university, or you have graduated within the last year.
- You hold or are pursuing a degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Music Business, Music Performance, Music Education, or Public Relations.
- You have a minimum GPA of 2.7.
- You have experience playing a percussion instrument.
- You possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Mac OS, social media, and podcasting platforms.
- You can write and speak clearly and have strong attention to detail for proofreading and copywriting.
- Experience working in a retail music store is a plus.

- Compensation: $17.40 per hour.
