About the role#
The Educational Services Intern supports the coordination and delivery of education programs at Woman's Hospital. This role provides practical experience in healthcare education, professional development, and department operations. You will contribute to projects that support employees, students, and the community. Assignments are based on department needs, your interests, and academic requirements.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and updating of educational materials, presentations, patient education, resources, and program communications.
- Maintain education records, organize information, and prepare reports.
- Collect and summarize participant feedback and program data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct background research and assist with assigned education and department improvement projects.
- Support simulation preparation, patient education, and community education as assigned with appropriate training.
- Collaborate with Educational Services team members and other hospital departments to complete assigned work.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow hospital policies related to privacy, safety, and professional conduct.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Coursework or interest in education, instructional design, healthcare administration, human resources, organizational development, public health, nursing, business, or a related field.
- Experience supporting projects, events, presentations, or data collection.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate progress.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Willingness to learn new systems, accept feedback, and work both independently and collaboratively.
Location & details#
- Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is an on-site position.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 18, 2027, to May 21, 2027).
- Compensation: $16.00 per hour for undergraduate students; $18.00 per hour for graduate students.
- Schedule: Flexible to accommodate classes and academic commitments.
