About the role#
Wireless Telecom Group is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to support the development and sustainment of RF/microwave instrumentation. You will work alongside senior engineers on the Power Measurements, RF Power, and Signal Sources product lines. This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Parsippany, New Jersey.
What you'll do#
- Assist the development team with RF/microwave circuit design, prototyping, and testing.
- Perform hands-on lab work including bench testing, data collection, and measurement.
- Evaluate test results against design requirements and investigate trade-offs.
- Document your findings to ensure compliance with quality procedures.
- Research new product ideas by gathering specifications and estimating costs or timelines.
- Support customer-facing engineering activities and project tasks as they arise.
- Communicate progress across the team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant coursework or project experience in RF/microwave circuits, electromagnetics, or instrumentation.
- A willingness to learn hands-on in a lab environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Comfort following safety procedures in a lab or production setting.
- Exposure to RF test equipment like VNAs, power meters, spectrum analyzers, or synthesizers is a plus.
- Basic proficiency in tools such as Python or MATLAB is a plus.
