About the role#
Winland Foods is seeking a Finance Intern for a full-time, paid summer internship based in Oak Brook, Illinois. This role provides hands-on experience in corporate finance and operations, including formal onboarding, individualized development, and direct interaction with senior leadership. You will gain exposure to manufacturing and distribution processes while developing your professional presentation and organizational skills.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate monthly and quarterly financial results against forecasts, plans, and prior-year performance.
- Provide insights to company leadership regarding financial performance and the implications for future periods.
- Operate across the organization to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business.
- Engage with Finance leadership through dedicated 'Lessons from Leaders' sessions.
- Manage a mix of daily administrative tasks and specific project-based work.
- Present findings and project outcomes to the Chief Financial Officer and the Finance Leadership Team.
What you'll need#
- Progress of 2 to 3 years toward a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related business major.
- An overall and major-specific GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to interact effectively with senior management.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (in-office Tuesday through Thursday; remote Monday and Friday).
