Research Scientist Intern

About the role#

Whiterabbit.ai is seeking a Research Scientist Intern to advance the state of the art in AI models for medical applications. You will architect algorithms and models that power company products while working on a dedicated high-performance compute cluster. This role involves collaborating with medical professionals to address critical healthcare challenges and contributing to the research community through university partnerships and paper publications.

What you'll do#

• Develop highly scalable classifiers and detectors to solve real-world problems.
• Engage with a large body of research in deep learning and machine learning.
• Participate in cutting-edge research focused on medical applications of computer vision.
• Train models using specialized high-performance computing resources.
• Partner with healthcare experts to translate domain knowledge into robust technical solutions.

What you'll need#

• Strong theoretical and empirical research background.
• Proficiency in Python and fluency with at least one deep learning framework.
• Practical experience with deep learning and convolutional networks.
• Preferred: Experience working with large-scale machine learning and terabytes of data.
• Preferred: A track record of contributions to research communities, such as publications at major conferences.
• Preferred: Experience implementing custom operations or modules within a deep learning framework.
• Academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
