About the role#
Western Community College is hiring an Office Admin Assistant for Student Finance and Enrolment. You will provide administrative support focused on student financial services, loan documentation, and enrolment processes. This role involves working with students and internal departments to ensure financial records are accurate and processed on time. While this is not a full-time reception role, you will provide front desk coverage when needed.
What you'll do#
- Assist students with loan applications, funding documentation, and general inquiries.
- Review and maintain student financial and enrolment records.
- Process enrolment forms, payments, and other administrative requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to follow up on tuition and funding matters.
- Maintain physical and electronic files while ensuring student confidentiality.
- Perform data entry, reporting, filing, and document preparation.
- Support general office tasks like managing supplies and correspondence.
- Help with student orientations and campus activities.
What you'll need#
- 2 to 3 years of experience in administrative, financial, student services, or education roles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A professional and student-focused approach.
- Experience with student loans or post-secondary administration is an asset.
- A diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Office Administration is an asset.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with flexibility for rotating shifts or weekends as required.
