About the role#
We are hiring an Accounting Intern to support our finance team in Toronto. This is a full-time, paid position that offers hands-on experience within a large network of diagnostic health facilities. You will report directly to the Director of Finance and Accounting.
What you'll do#
- Process day-to-day accounts receivable to keep collections efficient and accurate.
- Generate invoices from the billing system and submit claims to third parties.
- Communicate with customers to resolve billing queries and investigate disputes.
- Reconcile third-party billing claims and enter data into the accounting system.
- Assist with the month-end close process.
- Prepare billing and collections reports for the management team.
- Support procurement tasks, including processing orders and communicating with suppliers.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in your work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Current enrollment in or completion of an Accounting or Finance program.
- Experience with Accounts Receivable, medical imaging billing, or Quickbooks is considered an asset.
