About the role#
Weis Markets is hiring a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This is an on-site, full-time position that involves working at various store locations across Maryland, Delaware, and West Virginia. You will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to gain practical experience and support daily pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service by greeting patients, resolving issues, and supporting pharmacy workflows.
- Handle technician-level tasks such as data entry, prescription processing, and inventory management.
- Participate in patient counseling and support clinical services like immunizations and Medication Therapy Management under pharmacist supervision.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and removing expired medications.
- Assist with patient outreach, medication synchronization, and processing third-party insurance claims.
- Shadow the Pharmacy Manager to learn management tasks and team leadership responsibilities.
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment while completing required training checklists.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Doctor of Pharmacy program.
