Weigel Broadcasting Co. is offering an internship for students to gain hands-on experience in broadcast television scheduling. Interns will work directly with the programming team to learn the full process of preparing content for air, from initial scheduling to the final broadcast. This is a paid, on-site position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the programming team to develop broadcast television schedules.
- Design stunt programming for holidays and special events.
- Coordinate with the marketing department to promote programming across air and social platforms.
- Gain insight into the entire broadcast workflow.
- Assist with additional duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, preferably in Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, or Business Administration.
- Availability to work 20 hours per week at the Chicago office.
- Strong attention to detail and a self-starting attitude.
- Genuine enthusiasm for a career in the media and entertainment industry.
- Eagerness to learn and collaborate within a team environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois (On-site).
- Compensation: $17.05 per hour.
