Public Relations Internship Program: Microsoft Cloud

About the role#

This 16-week paid internship program offers an opportunity to gain experience in technology communications by supporting the Microsoft Cloud team. Interns will work on initiatives related to Microsoft Azure, AI-powered tools, cybersecurity, data analytics, and sustainable technology. The program includes customized training, individualized coaching, and mentorship.

What you'll do#

• Understand the significance of strategic communication in achieving clients’ business objectives.
• Discover strategies for building client relationships and engaging with influencers.
• Build media relations skills and recognize significant and emerging trends for clients.
• Collaborate with the team to address client inquiries and manage editorial requests.
• Support the development and distribution of news across various media platforms.
• Assist in organizing press activities and report on relevant media coverage.

• Excellent written communication and strong analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Commitment to delivering quality media support.
• Preferred: One year of professional experience or prior experience in communications or a related field.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

Location & details#

• Location: Seattle, Washington.
• Term: Fall 2026 (August 24 through December 11).
• Modality: Full-time, on-site. Interns are required to commute to the office three days per week.
• Compensation: $22 per hour.
