Fall 2026 Public Relations Internship Program: Microsoft Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA)

About the role#

The Fall 2026 Public Relations Internship Program within Microsoft Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) is a 16-week, full-time, paid position. This program is designed to provide foundational experience in technology communications, including customized training, individualized coaching, and mentorship. Interns will support work related to sustainability, accessibility, public policy, responsible AI, privacy, security, and community impact.

What you'll do#

• Understand the significance of strategic communication in achieving clients’ business objectives.
• Collaborate with the team to address client inquiries, manage editorial and analyst requests, and develop compelling story concepts.
• Assist in organizing and coordinating press activities, including press tours, analyst tours, and on-site visits.
• Develop a deep sense of teamwork with colleagues across regions using Microsoft Teams technology.
• Report on relevant coverage and share insights into cultural trends.

Location & details#

• Location: Seattle, Washington.
• Term: Fall 2026 (August 24 through December 11).
• Modality: On-site (requires commuting to the office three days per week).
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Compensation: $22 per hour.
