About the role#
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office offers internships, work-study, and externship positions. You will gain exposure to the legal system, criminal law, and community service. A core focus of the office is serving crime victims. You will work alongside a mentor from our professional staff in one of our divisions.
What you'll do#
- Learn about the operations of the legal system.
- Assist in the office while serving crime victims.
- Work directly with an assigned mentor.
- Appear on the record in court if you are an eligible law student and have court approval plus mentor supervision.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a law student (1L, 2L, or 3L) or an undergraduate student (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior).
- Majors in Criminal Justice or Political Science are relevant to this work.
- Legal experience is not required.
