About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad-Staff, you will support the pharmacy manager in daily operations and help deliver healthcare services to our customers. You will work directly with patients to provide medication counseling, preventive care, and wellness support. This role focuses on maintaining efficient pharmacy workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building relationships within the local medical community.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Review, verify, and dispense prescribed medications while ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Perform clinical services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness programs.
- Support pharmacy operations by managing inventory, processing insurance claims, and handling 3rd party audits.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff training, coaching, and performance management.
- Collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and suggest alternative therapies.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
- Conduct virtual product reviews and participate in community outreach activities.
- Assist with pharmacy opening, closing, and shift change duties.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
