About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern Grad-Staff position based in Roseboro, North Carolina. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, patient care, and team management. This role involves a variety of clinical and retail tasks, requiring you to bridge the gap between technical pharmacy work and direct patient interaction.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including counseling patients on medication usage, side effects, and potential interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services such as immunizations and flu shots.
- Ensure the accurate compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications in line with regulations and company policy.
- Support pharmacy workflow and assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial optimization, and staff training.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment issues.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
- Build relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
