About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Venice, Florida. You will support the pharmacy manager in daily operations, clinical services, and team development. This role focuses on providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the pharmacy runs efficiently and meets all regulatory standards.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform clinical services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness programs.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Counsel patients on side effects, contraindications, and medication management.
- Assist with pharmacy financials, inventory management, and store operations.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and offer assistance.
- Support the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
- Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and follow up with medical providers.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to the start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
