About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Hastings, Nebraska. You will work on-site in a retail pharmacy setting. This role follows a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Manage the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, offering assistance, and providing clinical services like immunizations and flu shots.
- Support pharmacy operations by maintaining knowledge of systems such as Intercom Plus and processing insurance claims.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with financial tasks, inventory management, and staff training.
- Follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions, dosages, and allergies.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
