About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support pharmacy operations and provide essential healthcare services to our customers. This full-time, on-site role focuses on patient consultation, medication management, and the efficient operation of the pharmacy. You will work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure compliance with regulations while delivering a positive customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including administering immunizations.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and financial optimization efforts.
- Greet customers, address their health needs, and resolve issues related to their prescriptions.
- Maintain pharmacy operations in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with pharmacy management tasks such as shift opening and closing, staff coaching, and training.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Build relationships with the local medical community and participate in outreach activities.
- Utilize pharmacy IT systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET to assist staff and customers.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer, or a willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
