About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will work on-site in a full-time capacity. This role focuses on the transition from academic studies to professional practice within a retail pharmacy setting. You will support pharmacy operations while gaining experience in clinical services and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow and assist the pharmacy manager with daily operations, including inventory and financial management.
- Engage customers to resolve issues and ensure a positive experience.
- Deliver clinical and wellness services such as immunizations and flu shots.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist with staff hiring, training, and performance management.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and adhere to company policies.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
