About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy while gaining clinical experience. You will work directly with patients, medical providers, and the pharmacy team to ensure accurate medication management and high-quality customer service. This role focuses on transitioning pharmacy care from transactional tasks to meaningful patient interactions.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including medication counseling, side effect explanations, and guidance on drug interactions.
- Perform core pharmacist tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Deliver clinical and wellness services, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness education.
- Process insurance claims and follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions, dosages, or allergies.
- Support the pharmacy manager with staff training, workflow coordination, and inventory management.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems, including Intercom Plus and register operations.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services and build relationships with local healthcare providers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) program from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
