About the role#
The Pharmacy Intern Grad role provides an opportunity to gain experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work on-site in Clearwater, Florida, supporting pharmacy operations and patient care. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers, including medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform pharmacist tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Ensure pharmacy operations follow regulations, company policies, and standards.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with workflow, inventory management, financial optimization, and staff training.
- Conduct immunizations and other preventive healthcare services.
- Process insurance claims and collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems and pursue professional development.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before the start date.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to become a Certified Immunizer within 90 days of hire.
