About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Austin, Texas. You will support the pharmacy manager in daily operations, focusing on clinical services, customer care, and workflow efficiency. This role requires on-site work and offers a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers, including medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive care like immunizations.
- Handle the compounding, dispensing, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and financial optimization.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, resolving issues, and sharing service best practices.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions or dosages.
- Build relationships with the local medical community and participate in outreach activities.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff training, hiring, and performance coaching.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
