About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Palmer Township, Pennsylvania. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, provide patient consultations, and assist the pharmacy manager in optimizing store performance and customer service.
What you'll do#
- Consult with customers on medication usage, drug interactions, and side effects.
- Perform clinical services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Handle compounding, medication management, and the verification of prescriptions within regulatory guidelines.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing duties and shift changes.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff training, coaching, and performance management.
- Process insurance claims and resolve customer issues to ensure accurate and timely service.
- Build relationships with local medical providers, including physicians and nurses.
- Maintain pharmacy systems and inventory management to support financial goals.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to the start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
