About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will work on-site at our Moon Township location. This full-time, paid position involves supporting pharmacy operations, providing patient care, and assisting the pharmacy manager with daily tasks. You will gain experience in a retail pharmacy setting while helping to improve customer health outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Consult with customers on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare services.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Perform clinical services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness activities.
- Support pharmacy workflow by managing inventory, optimizing financials, and ensuring accurate insurance claim processing.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Engage with patients directly to resolve issues and provide assistance with products and services.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems and technology to support staff and customers.
- Build relationships with local medical providers to clarify prescriptions and coordinate care.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution, or the willingness to obtain one prior to your start date.
- The willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
- A focus on providing quality customer service and patient care.
