About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will work on-site to support the daily operations of our pharmacy. This role involves balancing clinical responsibilities with customer service and team management. You will help ensure that our pharmacy runs efficiently while maintaining compliance with all regulations and company policies.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and potential drug interactions.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, pharmacy financials, and optimizing the customer experience.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and answer questions.
- Deliver clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems.
- Support the pharmacy manager in staff hiring and training.
- Participate in community outreach activities to promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
