About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy while gaining clinical experience. You will work under the guidance of the pharmacy manager to ensure efficient workflow, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of patient care. This is a full-time, on-site position based in West Rutland, Vermont.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform compounding, medication review, verification, and dispensation of prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with financial analysis, inventory management, and staff training.
- Engage with patients to resolve issues and answer questions about their medications.
- Deliver clinical services including immunizations and flu shots.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems and follow all regulatory guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
- Commitment to maintaining current knowledge of pharmacy practices and healthcare developments.
