About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Thibodaux, Louisiana. You will work on-site in a retail pharmacy setting. The role involves a mix of clinical care, operational support, and team leadership. You will assist the pharmacy manager with daily tasks while gaining experience in pharmacy systems and patient interaction.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform clinical tasks such as compounding, verifying prescriptions, and administering immunizations.
- Support the pharmacy workflow by managing inventory, processing insurance claims, and resolving payment rejections.
- Collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and coordinate patient care.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance management.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and provide information on over-the-counter products.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
- Analyze performance data to help optimize pharmacy operations and financial results.
What you'll need#
- A commitment to obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Ability to secure pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or a willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
