About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Vienna, West Virginia. You will support pharmacy operations while gaining practical experience in a retail setting. The role involves a mix of clinical responsibilities, patient consultation, and operational management.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and over-the-counter products.
- Perform clinical tasks including compounding, dispensing, and verifying prescribed medications.
- Deliver preventive healthcare services such as immunizations.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial optimization, and staff training.
- Process insurance claims and collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Engage with the local community through outreach activities.
- Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with state and federal regulations and company policies.
- Maintain proficiency with pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
