About the role#
This is a part-time, on-site Pharmacy Intern Grad position in Many, Louisiana. You will work under the pharmacy manager to support clinical operations, patient care, and store performance. This role focuses on transitioning pharmacy services from transactional tasks to interpersonal patient engagement.
What you'll do#
- Provide clinical consulting to patients regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive health services.
- Perform core pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
- Administer immunizations and flu shots while supporting other wellness services.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance, and store workflow optimization.
- Help with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment issues with providers.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, StoreNET, and pharmacy automation tools.
What you'll need#
- A PharmD degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
