About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the pharmacy team in providing patient care and clinical services. This role involves balancing daily operations with patient interaction to ensure the pharmacy runs efficiently while meeting regulatory standards.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services and counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Deliver clinical and wellness services, including administering immunizations.
- Support pharmacy workflow by optimizing financials, managing inventory, and resolving insurance or customer issues.
- Partner with the local medical community and assist the pharmacy manager with staff training and performance coaching.
- Maintain and utilize pharmacy information technology systems to support staff and customers.
- Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with state and federal regulations and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to the start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
