About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the pharmacy operations by providing clinical services and ensuring high standards of patient care. This role involves working closely with the pharmacy manager to maintain efficient workflows, manage inventory, and optimize financial performance. You will be a key point of contact for customers, helping them understand their medications and health needs.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including medication usage guidance and preventive healthcare information.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and proactively offering assistance.
- Ensure the pharmacy follows all regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff training, performance coaching, and workflow coordination.
- Manage retail, clinical, and wellness services, such as administering immunizations and flu shots.
- Process insurance claims and resolve related issues.
- Communicate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions, dosages, and potential interactions.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus, registers, and automation tools.
- Participate in community outreach activities to support pharmacy growth.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
