About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Katy, Texas. You will support pharmacy operations while gaining experience in a retail setting. This role involves a mix of clinical tasks, customer service, and administrative responsibilities to ensure the pharmacy runs efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and preventive healthcare.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Engage with patients by greeting them and resolving their concerns.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Process insurance claims and follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial optimization, staff hiring, and training.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy information technology systems.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution, to be obtained prior to the start date.
- Pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
