About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, patient care, and clinical services. This role involves a mix of administrative, operational, and direct patient interaction tasks to ensure the pharmacy runs efficiently while meeting regulatory standards.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services and counsel patients on medicine usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Manage prescription dispensing, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication verification.
- Support the pharmacy manager with staff training, hiring, and performance coaching.
- Assist with pharmacy financials, inventory management, and store operations.
- Engage with customers to offer assistance and resolve issues.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal controlled substance laws and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Prior experience with prescription dispensing activities.
- Strong working knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
