About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while gaining experience in clinical and retail settings. This role involves assisting the pharmacy manager with workflow, inventory, and staff development. You will work on-site in a part-time capacity to help provide healthcare services to the local community.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and preventive health.
- Perform clinical tasks including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness services.
- Review, verify, and dispense prescribed medications while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Process insurance claims and resolve issues to ensure accurate medication delivery.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with hiring, training, and coaching staff members.
- Maintain pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Build and maintain relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses.
- Help manage pharmacy financials, inventory, and asset protection.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- A willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
