About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacy Intern Grad position in Springfield, Massachusetts. You will work under the pharmacy manager to support daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide clinical services to our patients.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services and counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and over-the-counter products.
- Manage the compounding, dispensation, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow and assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and offer assistance with healthcare services.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment rejections.
- Build and maintain relationships with the local medical community and healthcare providers.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff training, hiring, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy technology systems to support staff and customers.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- Ability to secure pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a certified immunizer or a willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
- Pursuit of future licensure in both Massachusetts and Connecticut.
