About the role#
This position is for a Pharmacy Intern Grad working on-site in Commerce City, Colorado. You will support pharmacy operations, provide clinical services, and assist with patient care while preparing for full pharmacist responsibilities. This is a full-time role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and drug interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with financial tracking, inventory management, and staff training.
- Process insurance claims and collaborate with medical providers to clarify dosages or refills.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems including Intercom Plus, registers, and automation tools.
- Engage with the community to promote pharmacy services and support local outreach.
What you'll need#
- You must obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- You are required to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- You must be a certified immunizer or willing to complete certification within 90 days of hire.
